Beata Rumian - Idea 1A young woman named Sonia meets a man named Kas in a club, who she soon becomes close friends with. A few months later the man moves to Italy but remains in contact with Sonia. Everything seemed to be going great and Sonia felt like she finally found a man she could trust. After some time of talking over the internet, he invites her over to Italy. She promptly agrees and they spend a wonderful weekend and her feelings for the man grew stronger. But as the time came for Sonia to return back home, everything changed. Kas no longer resembled the man that she once knew. He became violent and took all of her documents away so she could not return back to England. Kas forced her into prostitution and took any money she earned. Sonia was faced with a whole new world she did not understand and this film is the story of how she escaped her captor and returned back home.
Rhianna Walsh - Idea 3
It is about a young girl who has had issues ever since she was little. She is now an older girl and is on her way home from work as she begins talking to herself and the people around her are looking at her weirdly. All of a sudden she blacks out and faints, we then see her at hospital and there are doctors are beside her bed asking if she has had her medication but all she can hear is voices in her head. When she was a young girl she went through stage where she was bullied and had no friends and therefore decided to have an imaginary friend. Her parents try and be there for her but it is not enough, she then starts to act upon this at night time and get possessed by this person she invented when she was younger.
Hannah Brady - Idea 4
A teenager starts of their day as normal and gets ready and leaves the house to go to school, however this day was not like any normal day for her as she feels a figure following behind her for most of the journey. The figure seems to get closer each day for the next few weeks, then suddenly her days were taken away from her as she gets kidnapped and locked into a dark plain room. Posters were put up of as she was missing, however her family begin to believe she is dead. Although they do not realise the torture and pain their youngest child is still going through for 30 many years later on. The family begin to receive post cards 5 years later and they begin to think someone is playing tricks on them as they believe their daughter is dead however they do not begin to look for her again, so there may be no hope of their daughter escaping.
Our planning sheet is divided into 3 different sections. This is because we wanted to ensure that we follow the structure of a trailer and that we can have enough shots planned out to be able to choose from during post production. We ensured that music and titles were also included in our plan as this will speed up the editing process once we have all the shots and we can prepare a sound composition much more efficiently.

The second part is the biggest when it comes to the number of shots required, however these shots only appear on the screen for a short amount of time as they flash through during the fast paced, action packed piece of the trailer which serves to build up excitement and provide some more insight into what we might see in the film. It is important that this section does not have linear story and that the shots seem like they are taken from different parts of the film. The trailer should not feel like a short film and remain clear but somewhat jumbled and it should break the continuity of events. These shots also cannot reveal vital points or plot twists of the film as that would spoil it and the audience would not want to go see the full feature film.

The last section is just a few shots to bring the trailer to an end and the editing returns to a slower pace allowing the audience time to process the fast sequence and usually providing last piece of information about the film; sometimes revealing the motivation or the tone of the whole production. It serves to keep up the excitement of the audience while they are still fuelled with intrigue and adrenaline. We also get to see the information about the release date and sometimes the title of the film at the end to keep it ingrained in peoples minds.

Factors to consider

Long shot: Two people sitting down in a therapist room
(Therapist room)
|
Need to find a room and ask for permission to use it. Make sure all cast can be there
|

(Her bedroom)
|
Need permission from the little girl’s parents to film In her room and if the whole cast can be there
|
Long shot: Dad walking into the room
(Her bedroom)
|
Ask little girls dad if he can play this role in our trailer
|
Medium shot: Beata in the lift

|
The lift
|
In the lift there is a mirror, we need to be aware of this in case we accidentally see the reflection of the camera
|
Long shot: Little girl at kick boxing with her friends
(Kick boxing club)

|
Over the shoulder shot: Beata watching it rain whilst someone asks if she is okay
|
We need to film on a day when it is raining
|
In little girls room
|
There may be wires which are on the floor, this may be a risk because someone may trip over them

We ensured that music and titles were also included in our plan as this will speed up the editing process once we have all the shots and we can prepare a sound composition much more efficiently.
The first part of the trailer is usually the slowest and it serves to introduce the characters and provide some insight into what story the film is going to tell.

The second part is the biggest when it comes to the number of shots required, however these shots only appear on the screen for a short amount of time as they flash through during the fast paced, action packed piece of the trailer which serves to build up excitement and provide some more insight into what we might see in the film. Animatic with commentary
This is the animatic containing voice over explaining each shot from the storyboard so that the fast animatic will be easier to understand.
Fast animatic
This is the fast version of our animatic. It roughly outlines what the final animatic might look like. We will most likely change the music a bit for the final version as well as adding some side effects.
