Production

After our planning was completed, we were ready to start gathering footage for our teaser trailer. The dates we filmed on are:
14th January 2017
18th January 2017
29th January 2017
31st January 2017

We needed a lot of footage to be able to pick out the best shots in the post production stage. It would take a lot longer than the AS thriller opening, as we required various different locations and so we could not obtain all the shots on one day. As we are still in the winter season we had less filming time due to how short the days are.

14th January 2017

On the first day of filming, we wanted to get the shots of Hannah's niece for our film. As we were not able to travel with her she was the only one filming on that day however we kept in touch through Whatsapp to ensure she was getting all the shots that we needed. The shots came out the way we wanted them to and she was able to film during the day with bright lighting and good weather.

18th January 2017

On the 18th we all went to Tayla's house to film some shots of me from inside the house in the bedroom and living room. We were able to film many shots and some of them were not used for the final trailer but we had enough to choose from. We had to be careful not to disturb Tayla's parents once they came home, but they were not disturbing the filming in any way. We did have to be careful around Tayla's dog however, because it would jump into shot at times and some of those would be hard to replicate. We were able to conclude filming with no issues arising in the end.

29th January 2017

On this day only Hannah,
Tayla and me were able to film so we decided to film at the forest so that there will be a visible difference in the scenery of the trailer to keep the audience engaged. It rained early on that day, which meant the ground was muddy and slippery which caused some potential hazards during our filming but we tried to be as careful as we could with the equipment and I made sure not to put myself at great risk when acting. The levels of light were quite good despite the density of the forest, so we were quite pleased with the shots that we were able to acquire.

31st January 2017

On the 31st we filmed the last set of shots that we needed for the trailer. We filmed at school as some of the places in the media block worked well with the feel of our trailer. Especially a lift which has the light broken in it. I had to stand inside it and look down as the doors closed and left me in the darkness. The shot worked out well but we had to make sure I was able to safely get out of the lift at any time. We also used the stairs to film a jump scare shot for the end of our trailer.
